Engraver Fill

The Engraver Fill tool lets you create wavy parallel lines or hatchings similar to engraving lines made with a burin. Using a mesh as a base, lines will follow roughly how the mesh is deformed.

There are many settings for the quality of the lines, such as dash patterns, spacing, direction, and whether you are tracing thicknesses from an image.

This tool has quite a few unfinished features, and really needs several more iterations to make it actually useful, so possibly not all the settings in the boxes will have actual effects, the Grow feature in particular!

You can see a rather old youtube tutorial here demonstrating some of the features. If I can ever find the time, I’ll try to winnow down the large to-do list, starting with an updated tutorial.
